The Problem
100 passengers board a plane with 100 seats. Each passenger has an assigned seat. The first passenger is drunk and picks a seat at random (uniformly). Every subsequent passenger sits in their assigned seat if available; if not, they pick a random free seat.
What is the probability that the last passenger (passenger 100) gets their own seat?
