The Problem

$n$ points are placed independently and uniformly at random on the circumference of a unit circle.

1. What is the probability that all $n$ points lie within some semicircle (i.e., there exists a half-circle that contains all of them)?
2. What is the probability that all $n$ points lie within some arc of angle $\alpha <2\pi$?
